Tools and Hardware Reviews of Fein 9-55-13 Turbo II 9-1/2-Gallon 1-1/3-Horsepower Wet/Dry Vacuum with Auto-StartCustomer Review: my favorite appliance Summary: 4 StarsI love love love this machine. My husband & bought it when we remodeled our home & put concrete throughout the house. With having a new baby and a yellow lab I a vaccuuming every day. Works great on the concrete and the rugs. I don't know what I would do without it. My husband is also able to clean up the shop with it.
Customer Review: Not a shop Vac Summary: 5 StarsMy shop vac sits in the garage. This hose is long and flexible, great for the car, not the stiff and short 3" dia. hose with the shop vac. Rolls nicely along our hardwood floors for the more serious cleanig such as the fireplace box, plaster dust, and the sanding of the stairway. Did I mention random orbital sanding? The sander will actually stick to the work piece applying strong even pressure, while keeping the paper clear of buildup, taking you out of the equation...well, you do have to hold on. I hooked it to a plate jointer, and absolutly dust free. The automatic start feature makes it a valuable accessory to many a power tool, not a hinderance. I like the less noise and smaller size, its more convenient, so I use it! The more I empty it, the more I've used it, and the cheaper the cost of ownership.
Customer Review: Simply the best Summary: 5 StarsQuieter than any other shop vac with a stronger vacuum. Highly durable yet light. Yes it may cost much more than the rest, but it's well worth it.Excellent for renovation and construction. Quiet enough for household cleaning especially if you have pets. It was a great help when I renovated my Brooklyn loft with it. The loft space was formally a sweat shop with hundreds of pins, needles, glass, and nails, between the floor boards. This vacuum pulled it all out. It was also useful to clean thick accumulations of rust from the tin ceilings. Works very well with a Dewalt orbital sander.
Customer Review: Great Vacuum - No Directions Summary: 4 StarsI'm a contractor based in Massachusetts and recently purchased this vacuum after reading the reviews on [Amazon.com] In addition to the vacuum I also purchased the Wet/Dry cleanup kit and the HEPA filter. My only complaint is that none of the Fein products that I purchased came with any directions. While a vacuum isn't a complex product, a set of direction to make sure that you install the HEPA filter correctly, change out as needed for wet versus dry vacuuming and generally use the machine as designed is needed. I'll contact Fein to see if this an oversight or if they really don't provide any directions. Otherwise this is a great product. If I can lay my hands on directions, this will be a 5 star product.
Customer Review: Proper use of the Fein Vacuum system Summary: 5 StarsThis is the third one I've own, two have worn out and I've sold them on the job site. First if your cleaning up after plasterers or sheetrockers then you need to use the paper bags for the fine plaster dust clogs the felt filter. For general floor/jobsite clean-up I sweep first removing chucks of plaster large wood chips and long shavings. Then I dust off I the surfaces let the dust settle then vacuum the floor using the wand attachment. It's quiet, powerfull, and doesn't clog.
